Oscar 2018

Il grande giorno è arrivato: questa notte si terranno gli Oscar, una cerimonia leggendaria che premia attori, film, sceneggiatura, colonna sonora delle pellicole che hanno riempito i nostri cinema. In occasione di questo evento, vorrei ricordare l'indimenticabile annuncio della vittoria di Roberto Benigni, con una visibilmente commossa Sofia Loren, perché, diciamocelo, gli americani son bravi a fare film, ma vuoi mettere la bellezza delle pellicole nostrane? 

Ma anche quest'anno l'Italia sarà protagonista della cerimonia, con un film che, nei mesi precedenti, ha scatenato l'approvazione della critica internazionale e l'amore di migliaia di spettatori, i quali, accorsi nei cinema, sono rimasti affascinati da "Chiamami col tuo nome" (titolo originale Call Me By Your Name), pellicola di Luca Guadagnino tratta dall'omonimo romanzo di André Aciman, con protagonisti Timothée Chalamet e Armie Hammer. Purtroppo, secondo il mio modesto parere, il film non vincerà nelle categorie principali, dati i superfavoriti "The Shape Of Water" e "Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri", già premiati in cerimonie precedenti agli Oscar. Ma non demordiamo: la bellezza di un film non si basa sui premi ricevuti, ma sulla sua capacità di arrivare dritto al cuore dello spettatore e sulla commistione di storia, dialoghi, luci, fotografia e regia.
